Child labour prevention and rehabilitation program
This project provides residential formal education for 120 girl children vulnerable to take up work and remedial education for 100 working girl children in 15 target villages. 5 girl children from the remedial school completed their secondary education, a big achievement for working children. 15 girls are learning Computer through newly started computer training centre and planned to train 15 girls per year.
Abhayadhama human development centre – Rehabilitation of street children
Vocational training is given to 44 street children - residing in Anugraha and Abhayadhama homes. For example, workshops are organized on construction of automobile mechanism or on how to drive.
Rural Poor Development project (RPDP)
2959 families (children and mothers) in 25 target villages are benefiting from this program. This project is being implemented in the vicinity of MEC for the development of the deprived community. It entails 8 early learning centers (pre-primary schools) for 280 children, employs 10 Primary teachers for 1396 school going children, offers educational support to 1000 poor children, organized sports games for youth clubs and strengthens 50 women’s group with micro-credit.
Integrated Education, Health and Socio-economic Development Programme for Indigenous community.
The project aims at providing education, health care services, and socio-economic development of indigenous community in 16 villages of Vepanjeri Block, Chittoor district of Andra Pradesh. Early education centers are put in place; children are being enrolled in primary and secondary schools. Under socio-economic development program, 6 new Self-help Groups (SHGs) are formed for 39 women.
